2.1 Equipment List 


-6 different surfaces(sand paper, plastic covering, wood veneer, craft foam, cloth and corrugated plastic board)

2.3 Procedures


  1. Make sure that the weight of the object is same at all times.

  2. Place one of the six different surfaces on the table top

  3. Place the object on the marked out point of the table top

  4. Use the same side of the block at all times,

  5. Record the total weights needed to move the block

  6. To ensure that the measuring is accurate, repeat the experiment three times and find the average reading of all the weights used.

  7. Repeat the step 1-6 for a block with different mass
